Jeremy's Senior Pictures

I know I say this all the time..... but " man, how time flys"!!!! I remember when he came to us.... a skinny, cute, 6 year old little boy with so many " don't know why's "!! Well, 12 years later, he is a grown man. He's getting ready to join the real world and I pray he is ready. I have the
" mothers" worry already starting to grow. You never understand when you hear a mother talk about their children leaving home until it is happening to you. Only then do you understand that feeling you have in the pit of your stomach. You then have to put them fully into God's hands as they venture out to make their own decisions. We have done our best to train him right. Now it's time to let him fly........ .

Easter

Sorry that I don't have many from Easter but I have been a very busy girl. Let's see Ashlynn was sick, had other family drama, cooking for 2 days, Jeremy wanting pictures taken, getting Jeremy ready for prom and more family drama...... sigh! Last week it just kept coming and coming. It was one of those weeks!!! Our dinner was very yummy though. I cooked: Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn, Rolls, Manderin Salad, Deviled Eggs, Pineapple, Apple Pie, Homemade Carrot Cake and a very yummy Peanut Butter Pie!! Oh my, all of this food for 5 people. Oh well, it was worth it.

Jeremy's soooo exciting 18th birthday!

I felt so bad for Jeremy on his birthday due to me being sick with this bug that I've been fighting for the past week and he had made plans to go snow boarding with some of his buddies. Well, lets just say he didn't get to go play in the snow due to it being so warm here lately. The snow had turned to slush!!
Thank you to my wonderful husband for taking care of all of us while I was out of commission!!!

Make a Wish!

Hurry, before the ice-cream cake melts!

Everyone enjoying the yummy Carvel cake! Jeremy really, you don't have to take such BIG bites. You'll get a brain freeze!!!!

Jeremy and his best bud, Corey!!

Everyone look at me before I go back to bed!!!

A kind-of windy day

I know I haven't put anything on here in a few weeks so here you go.... We finally had a warm day so I bought the kids a new kite. It wasn't all that windy but you know how kids are, they just have to play with their new things RIGHT away. There was enough wind to get the kites up then down and up and down. They didn't mind though... at least we were outside right???!!!

Good job Ben!!

Way to go... Ashlynn!

Our silly boy!

Yeah, they did it!

Run Ben!

Ashlynn, how high can it go??

Flying Kites

Ben was tired of kite flying so.... he decided to take a break!

WEeeeeeeeee!

Look mom!

Ashlynn kept going and going.....
Our beautiful girl. I forgot when I took this picture that she had fallen at school and skinned up her chin and forehead. Ouch! You can bearly see it.

Before I Was A Mom

I don't know who wrote this but I love it........

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
